Give us bread, but give us roses. The warmth of fresh baked bread, the sweetness of roses, underscored with a faint note of black coffee and smoke. Inspired by the poem (and later song) "Bread and Roses" by James Oppenheim. The phrase "bread for all and roses too!" was associated with the women's suffrage movement and later became a political slogan, poem, and song. The 1912 strike of textile workers in Lawrence, MA - led largely by women and immigrants - came to be known as the "Bread and Roses Strike" taken from the line "Hearts starve as well as bodies; give us bread, but give us roses!"
The photo on the label is taken from the children's rally in New York City in support of their striking parents. Children of textile workers were sent to sympathetic families around the Northeast during the strike.

How to Use
How to Use
Place 1-2 pieces of snap bar (depending on the size of your warmer) in an electric warmer or tea light warmer. Each piece provides hours of fragrance - although you shouldn't leave your warmer on for more than 4 hours at a time. You can continue to remelt the wax in your warmer until the fragrance has faded.

Many wax melts are packaged in hard plastic clamshells. Our snap bar melts are packaged in biodegradable (and compostable!) cellophane bags. Bags break down in a home composter within a few weeks.

To avoid injury, use wax melts only in tea light melters or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Read and follow the instructions that came with your warmer before using. Place your melter on a flat, heat resistant surface. Do not leave melters unattended while in use and keep away from children and pets. Do NOT melt on stovetop or in other non-approved appliances. Discontinue use if dish contains less than 1/2" of wax.
